Who we are

We, the Muslims, are those who submit to the One God (Allah), and Islam is the way of life revealed through the Qur’an and exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. In the Qur’an and Sunnah, Prophet Jesus (ʿĪsā عليه السلام) is honored as one of the greatest messengers, who called people to worship Allah alone and live righteously.

🌙 What Islam Means

  • Islam literally means submission and peace. It is the religion of surrendering to Allah’s will and living in harmony with His guidance.

  • A Muslim is one who submits to Allah, following the Qur’an and the Sunnah (teachings and practices of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ).

  • The Qur’an emphasizes Tawḥīd (Oneness of God): “Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is the straight path.” (Qur’an 3:51)

📖 Islam in the Light of the Qur’an and Sunnah

  • The Qur’an is the final revelation, confirming earlier scriptures like the Torah and Gospel, but correcting distortions.

  • The Sunnah (Prophet Muhammad’s sayings and actions) shows how to live by the Qur’an in daily life—through prayer, charity, honesty, and compassion.

  • Muslims believe all prophets—from Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, to Muhammad ﷺ—brought the same core message: worship Allah alone and live morally.

🌍 Message for Non-Muslims

  • Muslims revere Jesus as a prophet, not as God. His mission was to call people to worship the One God (Allah) and live by divine guidance.

  • Islam sees itself as the continuation and completion of the same monotheistic faith taught by Jesus, Moses, and Abraham.

  • To understand Muslims, one must see them as followers of a faith rooted in peace, submission, and moral responsibility, deeply connected to the same God worshiped by earlier prophets.

🌴 Prophet Jesus (ʿĪsā عليه السلام) in Islam

  • Jesus is called ʿĪsā ibn Maryam (Jesus son of Mary), and is mentioned by name 25 times in the Qur’an.

  • His virgin birth is described as a miracle: “Such is Allah; He creates what He wills. When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is.” (Qur’an 3:47)

  • He performed miracles by Allah’s permission: healing the blind and lepers, raising the dead, and speaking as an infant to declare his prophethood.

  • The Qur’an clarifies: Jesus was not divine, but a servant of Allah. “He [Jesus] said, ‘Indeed, I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet.’” (Qur’an 19:30)

  • Islam teaches that Jesus was not crucified, but raised up by Allah, and he will return before the Day of Judgment to restore justice.

👉 In short: Islam is the path of submission to Allah, Muslims are its followers, and Prophet Jesus (ʿĪsā عليه السلام) is honored as a mighty messenger who preached monotheism, performed miracles, and will return as a sign of the Last Day.
