Why give?
The Qur’an and Sunnah teach that giving is not a loss, but a path to blessing:
Purifies wealth and soul – Charity cleanses greed and selfishness, making wealth truly wholesome (Qur’an 9:103).
Multiplies reward – Allah promises that every act of giving is returned many times over, like a seed growing into hundreds of grains (Qur’an 2:261).
Secures provision – Whatever is spent for Allah’s sake, He replaces with something better (Qur’an 34:39).
Brings protection and honor – The Prophet ﷺ said, “Charity does not decrease wealth” (Muslim), and it will be a believer’s shade on the Day of Judgment (Tirmidhi).
👉 In short: We give because charity purifies us, strengthens community, earns multiplied reward, and ensures Allah’s blessings in this life and the next.
